App of The Day: Stick It!

One thing that has always bothered me in the YouTube app is that you can’t just press the Home button and keep listening to the music. What is more unbelievable to me is that you can’t even turn off the screen! For crying out loud, is this not the Android OS?!? The biggest selling point being the TRUE multitasking capabilities. Well, luckily, this week I found the perfect app to assist in this.

Stick It! is a great app that not only allows you to multitask but even allows you to play videos in the background or even crazier… two videos at once. Let’s be honest though, most of us will only view one movie at a time. Now, I’ve been using this app for about a week and the most common use I have found for the app is playing YouTube videos in the background. For the most part, when I go on YouTube I go there for the music so this is the perfect app for that.

Now it may be confusing at first but just remember launching the app itself allows you to either change the settings or choose which file on your phone that you want to play. Though I haven’t really used it for this, I have seen some great reviews on it playing 1080p videos which other players would stutter on. So you may be wondering, “How do you play the movies from YouTube?”. Well the way the programmer designed this app, you will need to be on the YouTube app, then on the top right corner there is a y-shaped button (used normally to share the link) when you click on it a little menu will pop up, just scroll down and click on Stick It!

Below are some pics on how to set it up and the end result.
