News: HTC One X On AT&T Gets Root

The One X has been out for about 3 days now on AT&T and the guys over on XDA have already rooted it. This is great news for those that want to remove some of the carrier bloatware off of the device or restore apps using Titanium Backup. You can now also overclock the device if wanted.
Now even though we have root for the device the bootloader is still locked, and will remain that way if it’s up to AT&T. They have always wanted to lock down Android, even disallowing users to side-load apps on devices before. But one of the best parts about Android is the community and with this community there is only a matter of time before the bootloader is also unlocked. Until then, no custom ROMs. Head over to XDA to get root.
**DISCLAIMER**
As easy as the process to gain root may be, there is always the possibility of something going wrong and bricking your device. We at Android Invasion hold NO responsibility if that were to happen. You are doing this at your own risk. Read the OP (Original Post) in the forums completely and read it over again before attempting anything. If you have any doubt, don’t do it. In short, if you end up with a $600 paper-weight, its on you!
