Some other phone launched earlier today…but LG doesn’t care. The Korean company announced the Optimus LTE2. You may be asking, “how is it better than the Galaxy S III?” Well let me tell you. The Optimus LTE2 packs in the unheard spec of 2GB of RAM. Additionally, the LTE2 will feature the company’s True HD IPS display, WPC-backed wireless charging capabilities, Android 4.0 and a 2,150mAh battery, which LG says will increase the battery life 40% from the original Optimus.

LG won’t tell us what processor they are using in this device, but we are hoping it is quad-core. However, it will most likely be a Snapdragon S4 MSM8960, as the device is LTE compatible and Tegra 3 currently does not support LTE.

The Optimus LTE2 will be available mid-May in Korea, but we haven’t heard anything on a U.S launch.
