Hands On With The Youtube Update for 3.2+ Devices

Another update at Google I/O was an update to the Youtube application for your Android devices running 3.2+.

Once you’ve upgraded, you’ll notice another complete overhaul of the UI. Things I hated about the original application was the sensitivity of the scrolling in the screen. Also when uploading videos you couldn’t add tags or expand in the description. This is all changed with the latest update, allowing you to put in tags for video as well as include monetization information for your videos (KA-CHING!). You get a much smoother experience when going through videos and a much nicer navigation pane (Google is making the left side of the screen the navigation standard it seems….).

All of the new updates Google has been annoucing in I/O has been met with considerable praise, probably the only negative being that the updated Youtube experience comes only to honeycomb/ics devices. Pity for everyone with Gingerbread (90% of the market?).

Oh Google. The update is live now so check out the Play Store unless you’ve automatically been updated!

About - Ever since that first marathon of Pokemon 4 hours before school, I've been betwixt into playing with my hands (dirtyyyyy). I'm diverse with what I've owned (iPhone/iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, Windows Phone 7, and now I'm using a flip phone) so you can expect unbiased reviews on everything I write about. So enjoy the ride (see what I did there?).
