Google’s Jean-Baptiste Queru, or JBQ, took to the Android Building Google Group to give us some details on Jelly Bean and the Nexus 7. He told us that the Android 4.1 source code will be coming in a ‘few weeks’ and that until then, the Nexus 7 is not a suitable device for custom builds.

To get into fastboot on the Nexus 7, hold the Power button for one second, release it, and quickly press Volume Down when the Google logo appears.

Finally, the Nexus 7′s bootloader is fully unlockable with a simple “fastboot oem unlock” command. This was a given since it’s a Nexus device.
