Last week, we reported that Apple had been granted a preliminary injunction on the Galaxy Nexus. Google has now removed the device from the Play Store. Google shows it as “coming soon.” It’s still not confirmed if this is related to the injunction or not.

The Galaxy Nexus dropped in price from $399 to $349 after Google I/O last week. There are reports saying that the device has been removed so Google can update the software on devices to work around the infringed patents.

Update 1: It is now confirmed that Apple has posted the $96 million bond. It is becoming increasingly likely that the Galaxy Nexus has been removed from the Play Store because of the injunction.

Update 2: Google says that the device will be back for sale next week, but it would not say why it was removed. The Galaxy Nexus will be shipping with Jelly Bean when it returns.

We will keep you posted.
