In expected news of the day, Motorola has announced that the bootloader on the newly announced Atrix HD does in fact feature a locked bootloader. “Motorola ATRIX HD at AT&T will have a locked bootloader to meet requirements,” the company stated via Twitter. The company continues to tease a bootloader unlocking tool, similar to HTC’s. “Our goal is still to provide a way to unlock the bootloaders on our devices to those who wish to do so, more details to come.” Hopefully, that tool comes sooner rather than later, so developers can work on the Atrix HD.

The Atrix HD will be coming to AT&T on July 15th for $99 with a new 2-year agreement.
