News: Nexus 7 Receiving a Tiny OTA Update

Posted In News - By Chance On Monday, July 16th, 2012 With 0 Comments

Nexus 7 units are starting to filter out to customers, as are updates from Gogle. The tablets started receiving an OTA late last night that bumps them up to build number JRO03D from JRO03C. The update is extremely tiny coming in at just 859KB. The only change appears to be the addition of more info in the “About Tablet” menu. The FCC ID, IC, and model number have all been added. The device is still at Android 4.1.1 and the unified search feature is there for now, though devices like the Galaxy s III have received updates to remove it due to the patent owned by Apple.

If you receive the update and notice anything different, be sure to tell us in the comments!
