News: O2 Fully Restores Network After 24 hour Downtime

We reported yesterday that UK-carrier O2 was suffering from a country-wide network outage, affecting SMS, data, and voice service. The carrier is now saying that its network has been fully restored for all customers. If you are still experiencing issues, O2 recommends to reboot your device.

It’s still unclear how many subscribers were affected, but we do know that every O2 customer was not affected and some made it through the outage unharmed.

The outage also affected Tesco Mobile and GiffGaff customers, as they both operate on O2′s network.

O2 says its goal is to focus on restoring our faith in the company.

If you were affected by the outage, let us know in the comments. How long were you with out service? Is it fine now?
