News: Rogers LTE to cover 28 More Cities by Year’s End

The Canadian carrier Rogers has announced that its LTE will be expanded to a bunch of new cities by the end of the year. The carrier says its goal is to cover 60 percent of the Canadian population with LTE. The cities receiving LTE this year are:

  • Ajax
  • Barrie
  • Burlington
  • Cambridge
  • Edmonton
  • Guelph
  • Hamilton
  • Kelowna
  • Kingston
  • Kitchener
  • London
  • Moncton
  • Niagara
  • Oakville
  • Oshawa
  • Pickering
  • Regina
  • Saskatoon
  • Sherbrooke
  • St. Catherines
  • Sudbury
  • Waterloo
  • Windsor
  • Winnipeg
  • Trois-Rivières
  • Quebec City
  • Victoria

Rogers began rolling out its LTE network last fall with Ottawa and has now expanded to St. John’s, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, and Halifax. Plans start at $35/month for 2 GB of data.

Rogers also says that it hopes to begin selling the Xperia Ion this summer to celebrate its growing LTE network.
