News: Sony Reveals New Walkman Series Running Android

Sony has announced three new Walkman, all running Android. The F800 Series Walkman consists of three devices that provide “an extreme on-the-go entertainment experience.”

The devices come in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB models. They have a 3.5-inch LCD and access to the Play Store for music, video, and apps. The devices are WiFi-capable and ship with Android 4.0. Sony says the F800 devices have 20 hours of audio playback and 4.5 hours of video.

Sony also announced the Walkman E470, which is the thinnest Walkman yet at 7.0mm.

Pricing for the Walkman F800 starts at $269.99 for a 16GB model and increases to $299.99 for 32GB. As for the E470, a 4GB options will retail for $79.99, while 8GB will be priced at $89.99 and 16GB at $109.99.

These devices will be available in August.
