Bloomberg, among others, is reporting that they suspect Amazon’s announcement for their smartphone will be coming soon. It looks as if Amazon want to compete all around with iOS, Windows Phone, and Android.  I’m wondering if this means a new mobile OS…would be neat!

Bloomberg also reports that Amazon is looking to expand its patent portfolio to keep up with the likes of HTC and Apple in the court rooms.

The report is sparse on details and does not give a timeframe for release.
