Megatroid for Android Review

We here at the Android Invasion love playing games when we’re not busy doing other things. Have you seen our recent reviews? Lately however it seems we’re always busy. Personally for me I’m almost always busy. Casual games seem to take up most of my free time though, can’t really play long RPG’s like I’d like.

Megatroid fills that role. If you’re used to playing old school Megaman or Metroid you’ll definitely be at home here. You can move left or right as and can jump as per the traditional platformer. However you get the ability to shoot projectiles and can bounce from walls. Interesting eh?

Levels are created as you type in phrases, so they work similarly to games like minecraft where you generate a world using words. There is a traditional black market store where you can purchase weapons and armor using points collected while passing levels and a premium market where you can pay money via in app purchases to get content. The premium market makes it a free game; the only money you will ever spend is on premium content, and you don’t even need it to play the game correctly. Heck you can play level after level and never need to pay for weapons.

The game is completely free and the developer upgrades it frequently with bug fixes and doodads so check it out in the play store!
