MetroPCS has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G, which has been rumored for some time now. The device is available today, both in-stores and online, for $460 with no contract.

The Lightray 4G has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz single-core processor, an 8MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front facing shooter, LTE, and Android 2.3.

It looks a lot like the Samsung Droid Charge, which was on Verizon last summer. It also packs very similar specs.
