Google’s Play Store is starting to receive an update which includes preliminary support for gift cards. Android Police has been keeping track of its disassembly, and alongside the screenshot provided (via @HomerSp), it’s been discovered that images referring to “Wishlists” have been included as well as sone functionality.

Supporting gift cards and wish lists will bring Play Store up top the big leagues of marketplaces but unfortunately still lagging behind others such as Amazon or even Apple. That’s part of the problem though; everyone is doing it. A new way of doing things is needed, something innovative; the question is who will be first.
