If you own an HTC myTouch 3G Slide or G2, T-Mobile hasn’t forgotten about you. Even though the devices were released over 2 years ago, an update is now available for both of them. Don’t get your up hopes up though, as the updates only include a security patches and stability improvements.

These updates will not be available over-the-air, but rather as RUUs on HTC’s website. Keep in mind, that these updates will remove all data from your device, so be sure to back up.

The G2 is on Android 2.3.4, while the myTouch 3G Slide is all the way back on Android 2.2 and it looks like that where they will stay. Enjoy this small update, as it may be your last.
