Now we have here the HTC One S. It’s the younger thinner brother of the One X, and by thin we mean THIN! Comes with a qHD (960 x 540) 4.3″ screen, running Android 4.0 and Sense 4.0 overlay. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU. Best thing is that it will be bringing the same camera as the One X, f/2.0 lens and backside-illuminated sensor. Remember how we said it was thin? Well it’s coming at only 7.6mm thick.

With this device you’ll also get 25GB storage on Dropbox free for 2yrs, fully integrated with Beats Audio and the updated HTC Sync. Same as the HTC One X, there will be no access to the battery and will be using a micro SIM. It’s also missing the microSD slot and no word at this point of internal storage and missing NFC as well sadly so no Google Wallet.

The One S will be launching in Europe same as the One X, early April. No carrier exclusive and comes in grey with baby accents or black with a red highlight. T-Mobile has already said to be carrying it upon release. Plan on grabbing it? Let us know your thoughts below!

UPDATE: It is said the One S will have 16GB of internal storage.

HTC just announced the their One lineup and here comes the One X. The device comes with a quad-core Tegra 3 CPU, Android 4.0, Sense 4.0 overlay, NFC and 32GB built-in storage all behind a 4.7″ 1280 x 720 SuperLCD. It will also feature a f/2.0 camera lens and an 8mp backside-illuminated sensor.

The main priority with the One series that HTC seems to be focused on is the camera. The camera is set to open in a stunning 0.7 seconds and autofocus in 0.2 seconds. Who wouldn’t like to capture that important picture in less time that it takes to blink? It also features burst mode. Just hold the shutter button on the screen and you’re there. No having to cut thru the menu or options. The device will not feature a physical camera/shutter button though. You can also switch from photos to video right on the same screen. A feature i’ve wanted on a phone is being able to snap images while recording a video. With the One X you can now do that as well.

It comes with 32GB built-in storage but no microSD slot sadly. HTC looks to fix that by giving you 50GB with Dropbox for 2yrs. It also intergrated Beats Audio with all applications on the device. HTC Sync has also been updated to sync wirelessly with Windows Media Player and iTunes.

Along with no microSD slot, you no longer have access to the battery and they will also be using a micro SIM card now. It’s said to be released in Europe in April. All other countries are said to be within 60 days of them announcing it today. What do you think of the HTC One X? Looking to upgrade to it? Thoughts on the use of micro SIM and no microSD slot? Let us know below guys!

Sony unveiled at the beginning of their event the Xperia P and the Xperia U, phones from their Xperia NXT series. Running Android, no word on ICS sadly, they will be pure entertainment phones. Sony is taking a new look into integration to their services, including music and movie streaming services, and they’ve integrated that into their new “mini Xperia S” phones.

The Xperia U has a 1 ghz dual core processor, “Reality Display”, and a 5 mega pixel camera. One of it’s biggest accessories is a wireless speaker system that allows you to stream your content over the air to the speakers, potentially playing your music anywhere you are in the vicinity. It also features a nifty strip on the bottom of the phone that changes colours based on what you’re doing, whether its viewing photos or getting a notification (I missed notification lights). Just like the Xperia P, it also features capabilities for multimedia purchasing through SONY’s own store, meaning you can stream unlimited music and movies as well.

We are looking at Mid Second Quarter releases for both phones at this point.

Sony unveiled at the beginning of their event the Xperia P and the Xperia N, phones from their Xperia NXT series. Running Android, no word on ICS sadly, they will be pure entertainment phones. Sony is taking a new look into integration to their services, including music and movie streaming services, and they’ve integrated that into their new “mini Xperia S” phones.

Featuring an industrial design they have a plethora of shortcuts available on the lock screen that enable you quick access to your content. This truly puts Sony into an entertainment mode, allowing you access to a digital wallet so you can actually purchase your content. Have I mentioned dual core as well?

The Xperia P has a uni body aluminum design and a 4 inch screen size (I’m liking the sound of that). It also features something Sony is calling “White Magic Tech”, giving you great power management and screen performance. It also has a dock that allows you to play HD videos through an HDMI port to your TV, Sony is really hitting this entertainment ball right on target. It also has NFC support, Google Wallet anyone?
